Christian Kids Like to Dress for Jesus

Vacation Bible School has brought to my attention one overwhelming fact this summer- kids love to wear t-shirts that show their love for God. From the cutesy to the superhero, Christian clothing for kids is a market all by itself. However, it’s a market that has not been saturated.
As I prepare for the launch of our new Christian clothing line, I have had many friends tell me to make sure I do a line for kids. They have expressed their disappointment with the lack of selection. I have since started working on a line of Christian t-shirts for kids. It’s not that they aren’t already out there, but it’s always fun to find something new.
It is fun to design Christian clothing that is less complicated and that appeals to the innocent eyes of a child. Children who love Jesus and aren’t afraid to let the world know are such a beautiful thing!
Christian Clothing…It’s In Style

Following the trends can be a tricky thing. What’s trendy to one person, may be a total disaster for another. I find it best to stick with your own style and fashion sense, wear your own message. Whether we like it or not, what we choose to wear says something about us. My style currently says oversized and comfortable are in.
Actually, what is very exciting to me at the moment about clothing is the ability to design Christian clothing that matters beyond the here and now. The actual clothes will not go with us, but those who wear Christian clothing to sow seeds for God’s kingdom are storing up treasures in heaven. And God knows the eternal impact the message of hope in Christ carries.
Ask yourself this question…if I can wear something that even in the slightest measure could effect eternity for another soul, am I willing to? Are you willing to add Christian clothing to your style in order to scatter seeds? It seems like a no-brainer.
Christian Clothing Entrepreneurs

I was inspired today by a friend’s mom who told me that I should go for it. She meant that I shouldn’t spend my whole life dreaming of doing something with my ideas, but I should actually set out to do them. She told of how her mom had dreamed her whole life of being a published author, which is my dream, and how she wrote a few stories here and there but never did anything with them. She said after talking to me for awhile that I sounded like an entrepreneur. I have never thought of myself that way…but here I am about to launch a new Christian clothing brand.
Being an entrepreneur in the Christian clothing industry is fun. I look around, online ofcourse, and I find so many other entrepreneurs in this niche as well. I am so impressed with what I find. The quality, creativity, and boldness of Christian clothing entrepreneurs is astounding! Though we all have specific goals, callings, and visions, we have in common the most important thing – furthering God’s kingdom.
Christian Clothing Size Charts are a Must

One size does not fit all when it comes to buying a Christian t-shirt. There are so many new Christian clothing styles to choose from that it is important to pay close attention to the size charts for the specific item you are purchasing. When perusing various online Christian apparel websites, be sure that some sort of size description is offered. You will want more than just the basic small, medium or large.
There is a big difference for instance between a “junior” size and a “youth” size. Youth shirts aren’t always cut the same way juniors sizes are cut. A lot of times, kids shirts come in the standard t-shirt cut. With trends in Christian clothing changing with the modern trends of society, it is important to understand how they will fit so that you can purchase exactly what you are looking for.
One new Christian clothing fashion trend for men is wearing the fitted tee rather than the standard straight-cut t-shirt. Though this is preferable among teens and young men, even into their 30s, older men may still prefer a full-cut shirt. It is important to find the right size for you, so look for a sizing chart or break down and read the fine print. The best sites offer measurement ranges or alert you to sizing discrepancies. I saw one site this week that let the consumer know to buy above their normal size because the tees ran small. Sizing tips keep us, the consumer, happy with our products and coming back for more.
Christian Shirts Are Catalysts for the Gospel

What’s the whole point of wearing Christian clothing? The point is to proclaim the truth that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that through Him we can have salvation from our sins. We live in a world full of lost souls and God has called us to be light and salt in this dark world.
Christian t-shirts are a solid way to ensure you are ready in season to share the hope that is in you. Know why? Because many, if not all, Christian t-shirts are ice breakers and conversation starters. If you are walking around with something intriguing on your chest, people are gonna ask. “Hey, what’s that mean?”
YIGS or “Year I Got Saved” shirts are one example of shirts useful for sharing one’s testimony. The acronymn in and of itself begs the question. For me, I cannot remember the exact year because it was when I was young, but I can approximate. No matter when you got saved, the important thing is that you are. So, go out and preach the gospel, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill the great commission…there are billions of souls that still need YIGS.
Christian Tees, Are All Created Equal?

Are all Christian t-shirts created equal? Well, you will find Christian t shirt designs that run the gamut. Some Christian clothing companies claim to carry hip, trendy, and edgy Christian clothing, while others will clearly tell you that they stay away from mainstream ideas, adopting the stealth approach. Numerous Christian clothing websites exhort consumers to boldly share their faith with shirts that exemplify the definition of a “graphic” tee. Other companies desire to steer away from copy-cat designs or knock-offs of popular brands and products.
Ecclesiastes 3 is clear, there are no new ideas under the sun. Christian apparel companies are simply finding ways to repackage the message. But the best part about doing that is that the message is GOOD NEWS. So, I say it doesn’t matter if you like wearing the latest Christian twist of a classic brand or a faded artsy shirt with the purpose of striking up conversation, if they point to Jesus – they point to Jesus.
Power to the Consumer!

Something interesting I came across while surfing the net is the idea that we, the consumer, can select which charitable organization benefits from a portion of the profit. It is a noble concept. In the past, I’ve heard of signing up to use certain services and the company donating around 10% to your choice of recipient. Just yesterday, I happened upon a Christian foundation that allows the buyer to donate 25% of the profit to the organization of their choice.
I thought, “Wow!” Then I wondered if the products would be a scam or high in price or that there was some trick connected to the offer…nope. And the Christian shirts they offer are truly unique. They have redefined, based on scriptural ideas, what it means to possess different attributes or what it looks like to display certain character traits or to hold particular positions. One example is that of a “social worker”. By using a play on words they have redefined this term by showing someone washing someone else’s feet with the slogan “because loving God is serving others.”
There are many more catchy Christian t-shirts from SoulcialĀ® SOLUTIONS on their website. It’s exciting to find such creativity in new Christian clothing.
Young Billboards for Christ

There is a whole market of Christian clothing that outfits youth as walking billboards for Jesus. And they are up to the task. Young people on fire for God are a force. They do not care what others think and they are willing to create their own style and own it. It’s refreshing, even if we adults wouldn’t choose to adorn ourselves in such splendor.
Wearing your faith is more than just putting on a Christian t-shirt, it is a lifestyle. We aren’t to put Christ on and take Him off according to the activities we have planned or the people we are around. If we are truly followers of Jesus, we are born again…born into it, to live is Christ. Because of that, branding yourself with Jesus through your fashion choices makes complete sense. With so many companies catering to their trends, young people have an advantage when it comes to finding Christian clothing they like to wear to proclaim the Good News.
Try Wearing the Truth Around Your Waist

Ephesians 6 tells us to put on the whole armor of God to withstand the devil. Wearing Christian belt buckles accomplishes this in a brand new way. Ephesians 6:14 “Stand your ground, putting on the sturdy belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.” Your belt can be literally proclaim the truth. “Christ for Life,” “John Three Sixteen,” “Jesus Saves,” “Praise the Lord,” and “Born Again” are just some of what’s out there.
The most popular buckles are made of pewter. It is important to take care of your Christian belt buckles properly. To maintain the distinctive look and quality of pewter, simply dust your belt buckle with a soft cloth, or wash your belt buckle by hand, in warm soapy water — gentle dish washing detergent is sufficient. Use a soft cloth to dry and polish. Be sure never to put your belt buckles in the dishwasher and avoid using abrasive cleaners.
Christian clothing and accessories are hot items and the trends keep this industry relevant. Try wearing the truth around your waist.
A Great Slogan Can Boost Your Business

Family Christian Stores reports a $4.3 billion Christian retailing niche market. This Christian clothing industry is wide open with possibilities. Slogans are one area that can set a brand or company apart. There are literally hundreds of religious t-shirt designs out there. It never ceases to amaze me how clever people can be with turning a popular idea into a Christian message.
A slogan is a repetitive expression of an idea or purpose, a memorable motto or phrase. A good slogan can be your ticket when it comes to marketing and advertising your Christian clothing brand or company. I recommend starting with a good ol’ fashioned brainstorm on scratch paper.
Put the name of your company in the middle and begin mapping out from there your ideas, images, words and concepts associated with your message. For Christian clothing, a lot of the time it has to do with somehow wearing your faith. Put your thinking cap on, get those creative juices flowing, and brainstorm to find a slogan that’s just right for your company or your next Christian t-shirt.
