Modest Christian Clothing – Where To Buy

T-shirts are a permanent part of our lives, whether we’re relaxing in the summer heat or layering to ward off the winter chill. There’s just nothing better or more comfortable than a t-shirt. But you probably don’t want a boring, plain old white t-shirt. You want one that’s got style and sends a message. But then the question is, what kind of message do you want to send?

To send a message that’s positive and uplifting, try a Christian t-shirt. You can find all kinds of Christian tees on the market today. For instance, there are Christian shirts that resemble sports t-shirts, rock music t-shirts, surf t-shirts, motorcycle t-shirts and many other kinds of t-shirts.

You can also find Christian t-shirts that are bold and others that are subtler. When I say bold, I mean the t-shirts that you can tell are Christian from a distance. An example of this would be the Jesus King of Kings t-shirt. This tee reads in big print, Worship Jesus The King Of Kings.

The subtler Christian t-shirts are the ones that look like regular t-shirts from a far. Take the AbreadCrumb & Fish t-shirt for example. From a distance, it resembles an Abercrombie & Fitch t-shirt but when you get up close, you can see that its a Christian tee.

If you are a Christian, the kind of Christian t-shirt that will be most appealing to you will probably depend mostly on your personality. Do you want people to immediately know when they see you coming that you are a Christian or do you want to be able to get up close and talk to them first? Regardless of your personality, Christian t-shirts can help you share your faith and as a Christian its something you need to do. Dont take my word though, heres what Jesus said, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19.

So now the question is, where can I get a Christian tee thats right for me? First look in your phone book to see if theres a Christian store nearby. If theres a Christian store thats close to you, give them a call and ask them if they carry any Christian t-shirts (not all Christian stores carry them). If they have some, go and check out their selection.

If you dont see anything you like at the Christian store or if theres not a Christian store nearby that sells Christian t-shirts, dont worry because you can get the perfect t-shirt for your personality on the Internet. Just do a do a Google, Yahoo or MSN search for Christian t-shirts, and youll find a huge selection of shirts to choose from. When deciding on an on-line Christian store, I recommend buying from a store that sells t-shirts with screen-printed designs. There are a lot of on-line Christian stores that have their designs put onto t-shirts by way of heat transfer and I dont recommend buying one of these Christian t-shirts because the quality is not as good.

Good luck in your quest to find the right Christian t-shirt and positively impacting people!

Stylish Christian Clothing for every size and taste!

There is an old hymn that goes, “All God’s children got a robe, all God’s children got a shoes.” However, modern Christians also go for Christian clothing, like Christian tshirts and hoodies. With your new Christian clothing, you can make a statement for Christ without even saying a word.

It can be difficult striking up a conversation with someone you do not know, yet you know you should in order to be a light out in the world. Sometimes it helps to have a little icebreaker, and that can be as simple as a statement printed on your clothing. Instead of advertising a corporation, why not advertise the King of Kings on your clothing? Now you can wear your religion not only on your sleeve, but also on your back, chest, arms and head, knowing that by doing so you are spreading the good news about God’s grace to everyone who sees it.

Christian clothing is available in sizes appropriate for babies all the way up to big and tall sizes. You can find attractive fitted Christian tshirts, long-sleeved tshirts, zippered sweatshirts, along with hats, beanies, cell phone covers, jewelry, belts, sweatbands, and even poker chips that let the world know that you are a Christian with a sense of humor and proud of it.

Christian tshirts are available for bikers and people who want to dress like bikers. You will discover bold graphics focusing on the symbol of the cross, as well as thought-provoking statements that let everyone know where you stand.

Everyone loves baseball-style caps, and now you can wear one that announces your faith to everyone around you. Subtle ones that feature the numbers 3:16 might cause people to ask you what it refers to, and then you can lead them to your favorite Bible verse. Fishers will get a kick out of a hat reading “Fishers of Men”. Those who are into the military will love Christian clothing that combines a cross on a camoflage cap, or a cross on a flat-top hat styled after those worn by soldiers.

Christian hoodies are also very popular. Guitar lovers will be thrilled to don a hoodie with the funny “Pick Jesus” line emblazoned on a guitar pick. There are other humorous hoodies that feature Christian takes on myspace and popular clothing lines as well.

Christian clothing not only sets you apart from the crowd, it helps other Christians identify you. You could wear your Christian clothing to the mall or grocery store, and other Christians will spot it and talk to you because they know you are one of them. Something as simple and beautiful as the Christian clothing you wear can help you meet new friends in the faith, as well as make a statement to the unsaved all around you.

Christian Trend Turns Believers into Billboards

November 29, 2009 by admin

A growing movement is seeing everyday Christians sharing their faith in some very distinctly non-church settings.

Its called lifestyle evangelism – using the places and situations you find yourself in each day to share your faith.

And it’s often done without words at all, through the wearing of Christian clothing and Christian jewelry.
The design and style of religious clothing has changed greatly over the years. This year, it’s as sophisticated, stylish and trendy as regular clothing.

The big difference is in the message. Christian T- Shirts, for example, deliver catch Bible verses in sharp and bold designs.

For example, one shirt aimed at sportsmen is in camo green and emblazoned with the image of a huge buck deer. The message reads: “Are you Hunting…. For God.” A subtle Bible verse accompanies the design.

Another, aimed at football nuts, has the image of a referee with the words “Penalty Declined” boldly splashed across the chest, followed by Romans 4:8, which says “Blessed are they whose sin the Lord does not charge against them.”

There are other Christian shirts that parody top TV shows, pop advertising campaigns, slogans and images. One of the most popular sold by by the Christian Christian Shopper Web store is a dark navy shirt that mimmicks the style of the wellknown Abercrombie and Fitch logo…. except the words on this shirt read “A Breadcrumb and a Fish” and tell the story of the feeding of the 5,000 from Matthew 15, noting that “He still works miracles.”

Mike Fletcher, the owner of Online Christian Shopper, says Christian clothing has extremely popular this year.

“We live in a T-Shirt culture,” he says. “Too often, the messages on secular T-Shirts is crude or offensive. Christian T-Shirts bring a message of hope and joy. You should hear the stories I get from customers who wear them and end up having very meaningful spiritual conversations with total strangers. They are a great evangelism tool and today’s shirts are so sharp and stylish that they can be worn just about everywhere.”

Fletcher says industry experts say that a Christian T-Shirt is typically read by over 3,000 people during its lifetime of wear.

“They let people literally become living, walking around, breathing billboards for Christ,” he says.
While Christian shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies and the like are appropriate for everyday wear, there are some situations where they just don’t work – like the office or at formal gatherings.
That’s where Christian jewelery comes in. It used to be a simple cross was the only choice in Christian jewelry.

That’s all changed now as the lifestyle evangelism trend has taken off. Christian rings, necklaces, earrings and braclets have become hugely popular in recent years. Rings in the design of a crown of thorns, with the name Jesus, or bearing the image of a dove or the ancient fish symbol for a Christian are hot sellers. There are even toe rings now for Christians.

The success of Christian clothing and Christian jewelry has spread to other areas.
One of the hottest items this year picks up on the digital music craze. An item just released in time for the 2006 holiday shopping season is a “suit” for the Apple Computer iPod. The iPod suit is a case that wraps around either the nano or the larger iPod video model. Constructed from soft Neoprene and flexible vinyl, the Pod Suit allows full access to all controls and comes with a sturdy clip is perfect for attaching the iPod to a belt, purse or backpack. It’s message? “Tune in to God.”

Fletcher says Christians are embracing the lifestyle evangelism movement because they have grown tired of being marginalized by society. “People tell me all the time that they want to share their faith but they didn’t know how until they realized that they could make a statement by the clothes they wear,” he says. “They love being able to let the world know that they follow Christ and that all is not gloom and doom out there.”

Christian Clothing And Evangelism Go Hand In Hand

November 29, 2009 by admin

Jesus tells believers they are “in the world” but “not of it.”

Such Christian inspiration is important to cling to as believers are bombarded by a hostile world that seeks to ridicule and marginalize those who share their faith. It used to be that America was a Christian nation. Read our founding fathers. There’s no mistaking that the vast majority of them felt that the Bible and Christian values were essential to the success of this country,

Things, of course, have changed. Today, Christians are sneered at. Made fun of. Labeled as “intolerant.” Movies and mainstream media invariably portray Christians as kooks and extremists.

But across the country, lots of believers are quietly following the New Testament command in Jude 1:3 to “contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.”

How? By wearing Christian T-Shirts, Christian clothing and Christian jewelry.

Hip, stylish and quality T-Shirts that have Bible verses or religious symbols are showing up on the backs of Christians everywhere. Many believers, in effect, are walking billboards for Jesus. T-Shirt industry estimates say that as the typical T-shirt is “read” by as many as 3,000 persons before it wears out and is fit for the car-washing rag bag.

It’s a way to use one’s lifestyle and to evangelize in the places and to the people we are daily taken to.

Christian evangelism is the job of all believers. It is commissioned and commanded directly by the Lord in Matthew 28. That means, as the great apostle Paul later wrote to the Corinthian church, that we are to consider ourselves “Christ’s ambassadors… as if God was making his appeal through us.”

An ambassador always behaves in such a way to reflect positively on his position, to represent his commission well. So should believers, who are being watched by an increasingly dark and disbelieving world. It’s often been said tat the Christian may be the only Bible some people read. That Christian T-SHirt or article of Christian clothing sometimes opens up meaningful conversations with non-believers that otherwise would never have happened.

The fact of the matter is sharing Christ involves a lot more than just talking. It means using our lives to be lights, doing not just saying the right things and always pointing to Jesus – the reason we have hope.

Staying in the Word, reading it, meditating about it, memorizing it and then obeying it is necessary if we are to inspire others to the cause of Christ.

Being a Christian is a great privilege. And a great responsibility. How have you kept your light bright today? You might start by wearing a Christian T-Shirt.

Christian T-Shirts–They’re Not Just For Church Anymore!

When you are getting ready for a day at school or a day of running errands around town, likely the number one article of clothing that you reach for is a t-shirt. You might have noticed the wide variety of printing that you see people wearing on t-shirts every day. Instead of promoting a corporation name emblazoned on your clothing at your expense, why not promote something of far greater value–the relationship that ordinary people can have with Jesus Christ? This you can easily do by wearing Christian t-shirts.

Christian t-shirts make it easy for you to be a good witness every single day. All you have to do is get dressed in the morning, and don one of the popular Christian t-shirts with a humorous yet significant slogan on the front.

You can be a great witness at the gym or out on the running paths around town. Christian t shirts make great workout gear, and all are machine washable.

Christian t shirts make terrific casual wear when you need to run errands around town. When you go to the grocery, or the library, or drop the kids off at school, you can make a statement without even uttering a word–let your Christian t shirts do the talking for you. All it takes is someone’s glance at your shirt to get them thinking about what it says on the front. Sometimes others who see your Christian t shirts will want to ask you what they mean, and these are a perfect opening to share your faith. Others might not say anything, but it can be a simple way to turn their thoughts to Christian topics.

In order for any t-shirt to be usable, it needs to be made of soft, comfortable materials and it needs to fit well. Christian tshirts are available in combed ring-spun cotton, and many also come in poly thermal material as well. Both offer the soft cushioned warp and weft that gives the fabric used to make Christian tshirts that caressing feel that causes you to reach for them every day when you are selecting which clothes to wear. These fabrics also hold up well to washing and drying, and just get softer over time.

Christian tshirts come in a wide variety of sizes and styles to fit every body well. There are sizes appropriate for women, men, juniors, youth and even toddlers. Different styles of Christian tshirts are available, including fitted, biker, and long sleeved, so you are sure to find the fit and style you prefer. Big and tall sizes are also available.

Other types of Christian clothing are easy to find as well. Select Christian clothing from hoodies, zippered sweatshirts, even hats and beanies. Other Christian clothing can include accessories, such as necklaces, bracelets and rings.

What is Christian Clothing?

October 27, 2009 by admin

As a Christian man in American society, I find it continually humorous that the ways and means we use to determine whether something is Christian or not borders on the senseless at times. We have Christian bracelets, dating, schools, bookstores–and Christian clothing. But, what makes clothing Christian? Does it become so because it has symbols or icons are ironed or sewed on the garments? Or does the attire become “holy” because it was bought at bookstore bearing this faith on its front doors? Or perhaps, it is Christian because a company that proclaims that faith sells the clothes?

What is Christian clothing? Is there such a thing? The scriptures remind us that God looks on the heart of an individual to see whether that person’s motives are pure before Him or not. Many folks over the years and centuries have sought to dress appropriately before God in special places or on special occasions.

Perhaps you’ve seen the minister wear his robe to the church service, or even a Mormon priest wearing certain white fashion during a temple rite. But the Lord of the Christian scriptures has told us again and again that these measures were not enough to commune with Him in an intimate relationship. For example, Jesus had to remind those He was teaching that the religious leaders “like to walk around in long robes, and like respectful greetings in the market places, and chief seats in the synagogues, and places of honor at banquets, who devour widows houses, and for appearance sake offer long prayers; these will receive the greater condemnation” (Mark 12:38). So, outer appearances do not necessarily make one religious or Christian. As a matter of fact, history is littered with ‘holy’ looking people doing very unholy acts.

If we are talking about modest clothing, then we can begin to say that some types of fashion expose one less to the world around them, and honor the wearer. But, putting a fish symbol on a tank top doesn’t make it “Christian.” As a matter fact, excessive symbols can be interpreted to mean idolatry; and is by some, who have gone as far as wearing “plain” clothing to keep from falling into this trap.

Christian clothing is a myth, as it all other Christian “stuff.” In the scheme of God’s purpose and revelation, the only thing “Christian” are those who follow the Son of God. One who unifies with God in Spirit is considered Christian; all other material things are said to “pass away.”

How to Acquire Christian Clothing

October 25, 2009 by admin

As we surf the net in search ofChristian clothing, we find quite a variety of fashion being marketed by companies interested, like most profit-making ventures, in growing sales of their fine merchandise. But, where to start? How do we begin the process of purchasing this special type of clothing? Let’s study the matter a little further.

Understand the first rule: there is no such thing as “Christian clothing.” Any garment worn by anyone is not Christian because the faith we are talking about is not about physical things, but always about invisible, spiritual, eternal matters in the Spirit; this is what the scriptures repeatedly imply. Romans chapter 14, verse 17 tells us, “For the kingdom of God is not eating or drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” You can purchase clothes that came from a Christian bookstore, or a Christian web site, and no amount of bible verses or symbols is going to make that piece of garment spiritual. Even if we found the very clothes Jesus wore while on earth, they would show their age, because what makes anything sacred is not a temporal, physical thing, but the invisible spirit joined to the Son of God.

Following step one, the best one can do in this world is acquire religious clothing. For example, a priest might wear a special robe to conduct a mass or a ceremony of some kind. Or, a leader might be identified by the public as a religious figure based on his collar or clerical shirt. But, wearing religious clothing doesn’t make it or the wearer Christian. Jesus told His followers in John chapter 6 that, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing.” Over and over again, the theme of the scriptures is that the things of the physical will pass away, but only the things invisible to us in this world will remain. Therefore, if you want to acquire Christian clothing, you will need to get Christ, not special clothing at a store. Romans chapter 13, verse 14 says, “But put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.” The difference between religious and Christian clothing is that one is a physical piece of garment, and one is unseen; spiritual in nature.

Acquiring the unseen piece of clothing is free, and not found in stores. It is not found in any building, although is has a better chance of being found in church buildings. It is purchased with work—–the work of faith. Again, John 6:29, “Jesus answered and said to them, ‘This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent’.” It is found when anyone believes in the Son of God, and “puts on Christ.” Acquiring the physical kind is not different than any other store, unless you need to be specially licensed for the ceremonial type.

If you want to be a “cool Christian”, then go ahead and buy the trendy clothing that looks no different than the rest of the world at large. You’ll have nice pictures, illustrations, and sayings related to Christianity on your pants and shirts, but you won’t be any closer to the real Christ. You’ll look like all your other Christian friends, until the fashion goes out of style; then you will be a former cool Christian. But if you want the real Christian clothing, you have to get to know the designer. One more passage of scripture will suffice here: Philippians chapter 3, starting in verse 7 (Paul speaking), “Butwhateverthings were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. More than that, I countallthings to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss ofallthings, and count them but rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.” The Christ of Christianity is portrayed as having the ultimate Christian clothing, but you have to go the Son of God Himself to get it.

To make the complicated facets of the faith simple. To take the things of God and attempt to communicate them in such a way so as to not malign faith; or create confusion from a very profound faith. Christian Clothing Examined

October 19, 2009 by admin

Simply put, what is meant by the term, “Christian Clothing” in today’s culture? As one researches the topic, there are a host of images and concepts that will come into view. It can become bewildering to track down exactly what someone is talking about when the term is used. Here, in this article, we will examine some points with regard to this topic.

In the 1980’s, companies in the U.S. began selling t-shirts, pants, sweatshirts, and other accessories with a different twist—–for a different market. As Christian bookstores were making a splash around the country selling inspirational merchandise, the thought occurred to bring inspirational apparel to this built-in market of faith-based consumers. As a backlash to the increasingly godless culture, the “cool” merchandise like Christian music and Christian clothing began to appear to meet the need of people (particularly youth) who wanted an answer to combat that culture and express their faith at the same time. At first simple and straight-forward, clothing began (and continues) to stretch the boundaries of nice, plain text and fashion wear. Increasingly, the music and the clothing in this market has grown more “loud” and “offensive” in the desire to make a statement for their King. Both in what is said on the clothing, and how it is being worn, a question might be asked regarding this booming trend of Christian clothing: “How effective is this apparel to those who wear it, and those who see the clothing displayed in the culture?” What follows are some observations I have made as a fellow professing Christian.

I have noticed that no matter how blunt and “expressive” the message on the clothing (t-shirt, pants, tank top, shoes, etc.), the test of real faith being lived in this environment is still a life lived, not just another “witnessing tool” to tell everyone about Jesus. In fact, history teaches us that just “talking the talk” does not result in people being transformed by a message; rather, we remember special people in history by not only their words but by their acts. And further, I’ve noticed that when someone does “great” acts, then it serves as a platform for people to listen to what they have to say because folks understand that that individual has authority to state his/her philosophy. When Jesus healed people, for example, the multitudes came by the droves to get healing also, and in the process hear the gospel of the Kingdom of God.

No doubt there are many people (particularly youth) wearing Christian clothing who gain a lot of approval with their believing friends in friendly settings (youth groups, Christian concerts, church, camps, etc.) In these types of environments, it’s easy to talk the Christian lingo and wear the Christian verses, godly sayings, and symbols—–because it’s friendly turf. But what happens when one wears this type of apparel in unfriendly settings, like public high school or parties? Does the fact that one wears faith-based clothing grow their faith to the point of being mature in a wide variety of situations? Can Christian clothing teach someone to be a more powerful and influential vessel for the King of Kings? I have observed that no matter how “cool” your clothing makes you feel around your friends and Christian family, when the environment changes and the world works its charms, that clothing that you thought was so “hip” wilts in the face real, human needs. I mean, will wearing a t-shirt with a cross on it at a football game give you peace, approval, and a sense of belonging when everyone around is have fun without God? When God is irrelevant to your environment, will your religious garb keep you in tight unity with the Lord? My sense is—–no.

What is needed by the Christian is a deep-rooted faith that goes beyond using outer expressions to gain approval before man or God; or even to get a spiritual conversation going. Paul, in 2 Corinthians chapter 4, spoke about something deeper than clothing to keep you “cool.” He says, “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves; we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body, (verses 7-10).” Whatever clothing you put on, as a Christian you are going to face warfare, and when you do, life is hard—–real hard. The armour that we use as believers is spiritual, as Ephesians chapter 6 tells us. But the clothing for the Christian is also spiritual, as Galatians chapter 3, verse 27 instructs us. Only this “Christian clothing” is deemed to be effective by God. So, my advice is to wear whatever type of apparel you like (that shows godly modesty), but if you’re “signing up” to follow Christ, then please don’t count on some “cool” fashion to save the day and give you meaning and purpose for your faith. Not only do fashions come and go, but that type of protection will have no value to engage in warfare without suffering great harm.

Christian T-Shirts – Do You Want Boring Or Cool Christian Apparel?

October 18, 2009 by admin

Have you ever felt that the majority of Christian t-shirts available are usually not very attractive? Do they seem to have weak messages? Or are they just plain boring? How about some really cool Christian clothing for a change? Being a Christian doesn’t have to be boring. There are a number Christian t-shirts available on the market, but I would like to share with you all some of my own thoughts and inspirations on Christian apparel.

If you look around, you will find that the designs on a majority of Christian t-shirts are usually not as attractive as worldly designs. Not always, but usually. And why is this so? Perhaps most people don’t really think of a Christian t-shirt as something to make them look good in. People like wearing nice clothes but when it comes to Christian t-shirts, they simply think of it as just another ordinary t-shirt with some Christian text or picture on it. This seems to be the mentality of some Christian clothing manufacturers. And because of this, a lot of t-shirt wearers, even though they may be Christian, prefer worldly t-shirts that they feel would make them look cool in.

Also, you may notice that many Christian t-shirts don’t have engaging messages on them. It may be a bible verse or a Christian statement but if it is not effectively integrated into the design to make people take a second look, then what’s the point of putting it there in the first place? Many worldly t-shirt designs shout out some seemingly cool statement or display some cool looking graphic. Christian apparel should do the same and do it better! You can wear your faith proudly and look really cool in it. Amen? Wearing Christian clothing is more than just an ordinary fashion statement.

Wearing a Christian t-shirt is really about making a statement in body, soul and spirit!

Therefore a Christian clothing designer that is really passionate about what he or she does would put his or her heart and soul into ensuring that every t-shirt design he or she designs is really cool. He or she would also make sure that it communicates the message it carries with great impact. After all, it is written:

Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men, knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [and not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [real] reward. [The One Whom] you are actually serving [is] the Lord Christ (the Messiah). – Colossians 3:23-24 (Amp)

People are starting to realize that their faith should not only remain within themselves and are looking for new ways of expressing their spirituality. Wearing really cool looking Christian clothing is one great way to do it. These days, fashion is neither just about showing off the latest trend nor merely about designer clothes and brands. Christian apparel is a new fashion revolution which is above the fickleness of the fashion industry and is here to stay.
